More Than $2,200 Raised For Yarmouth Food Pantry During Annual Blue Rock Golf Course Turkey Shoot

Hundreds of Non-Perishable Food Items Also Donated During Event

(SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA) – More than 70 golfers helped raise over $2,200 in cash for the Yarmouth Food Pantry on Saturday, November 20, 2021, during the 16th Annual Turkey Shoot-Out and Food Pantry Drive at Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth.

Hundreds of non-perishable food items were also donated during the day by golfers and others who stopped by to help the cause.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser go to the Yarmouth Food Pantry’s ongoing efforts to provide critically needed food for people in the Yarmouth area. The cash donation of $2,280 in combination with the donated food brought the total value to nearly $3,000, all of which will be used to help those in need this holiday season.

All members of the first-place team donated the turkeys they won back to the Yarmouth Food Pantry as did many winners in other categories.

“The golfers at this year’s Blue Rock Turkey Shoot had a great time on the course, while also helping raise money for such an important organization in our community,” said Blue Rock PGA Head Professional Jim Campbell.

“The entire team at Blue Rock Golf Course was again honored to help support the Yarmouth Food Pantry and the critical work they are doing for our fellow citizens,” said Campbell.

“We are so fortunate to live and work in a community where so many people are willing to help those in need not only during the holiday season, but all year-round,” said Yarmouth Food Pantry President Hollie Handrahan.
