Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth is gearing up for its 37th annual Parent-Child Tournament – taking place this year on two separate dates:

August 9th – 9 Hole Parent/Child Tournament
1 p.m. shotgun start

August 16th – 18 Hole Parent/Child Tournament
9 a.m. shotgun start

This popular yearly event is a terrific way for adults to hit the links with their kids and compete against other teams for bragging rights as the best parent-child duo,
grandparent-child duo, uncle-cousin duo…etc. Any adult can pair up with a younger relative and get in on the action!

Find out who the real golfer is in the family and hit the fairways for some great family fun – with just a little bit of healthy competition!

The Blue Rock Golf Course Parent-Child Tournament is open to both members and non-members and fills up quickly each year. It features an alternate shot scotch-ball format: both players drive, select a shot, and then alternate until the ball is holed.

Some families plan their vacations around our yearly Parent-Child Tournament, a true testament to the fun parents and their kids have taking part in the event.

You’ve been on the mini-golf course already this summer – now it’s time to take it to the next level!

Trophies are awarded in each division. Winners will get their name engraved on the new prestigious Parent-Child Trophy which will be displayed on the mantle in the Pro Shop all year long!
Second and 3rd place winners will receive a free entry to a clinic of your choice.  If you are in the 11-13 age group, you may choose to play in the 9- or 18-hole tournament or both! MAX score on any hole of 6.

Throughout the competition, adult males play from the blue tees, while all females play the red tees. Boys 14-17 years old play white tees; 11–13-year-old boys play white/yellow tees; 10 and under boys play red tees.

Divisions by Age

AUGUST 9th: 9 Holes

  • 10 and under (play 9 holes)
    Entry fee per team: $80 (non-members); $60 (member)
  • 11 to 13 (play 9 holes)
    Entry fee per team: $80 (non-members); $60 (member)

AUGUST 16th: 18 Holes

  • 11 to 13 (play 18 holes)
    Entry fee per team: $90 (non-members); $70 (member)
  • 14 and up (play 18 holes)
    Entry fee per team: $90 (non-members); $70 (member)
  • 17 and up (play 18 holes)
    *Prizes not included for this group
    Entry fee per team: $90 (non-members); $70 (member)

ALL ENTRIES INCLUDE GOLF, FOOD, and PRIZES. Food will be served before the 9-Hole tournament and AFTER the 18-hole tournament. There will be a maximum of 18 teams for the 9 hole tournament and 36 teams for the 18-hole tournament.
