Meet PGA Pro Patrick Fannon
Patrick Fannon, PGA
Blue Rock’s PGA Professional Patrick Fannon started playing golf with his father and brothers when he moved to the Cape in 1981. Since golf was the first sport in which he could compete with his four older brothers, it became his motivation to continuously improve.
In 1988 at age 19, Pat turned pro and took his skills to the Florida mini tour circuit, In order to hone his competitive skills he began working with an award-winning PGA teaching professional in Daytona Beach, where he soon discovered his love for teaching the game. Pat earned his PGA Membership in 1996 and continued to gain experience as a teaching professional in upstate New York and as the Eastern Caribbean Golf Professional for Costa Cruise Lines before returning to the Cape as the pro at Osterville’s exclusive Wianno Club.
Patrick came to Blue Rock as Head Golf Professional in 2003 and has been working with the Cape Cod golf community to help establish the Cape as a premier golf destination. The Cape Cod Chapter of the PGA voted Patrick the 2010 “Junior Golf Promoter of the Year.”
In 2016, Patrick received the elite PGA Teaching & Coaching certification from the PGA of America, becoming one of just 535 Certified PGA Professionals out of 27,000 members.
